    Yes. I debated getting an auto for a little bit because I plan on building this one up into a daily driver that can do a bit of rock crawling on the weekend... but in the end I realized that I enjoy driving a manual and would really regret not having it.

    Yes! Bad design on the clutch disc caused it to fail, 30 ft from pavement after a trail run. Good thing it didn't happen on the run.

    Wow! At least they replaced it. You could of been in a bad situation depending on how far you were on those trails.

    I guess, or chance. Mine actually went out while in 2nd gear. Didn't shift, just let off gas, and went back on. When I went back on it was like it was in "N". Just revved.

    Any mechanical part has a chance of failure... sometimes it's due to driving habits... sometimes it's a manufacturing fault... sometimes it's just sh*tty luck.

    Automatic. Especially for off road. But that is only for the Tacoma's and 3rd gen 4Runners on up because they don't fail from fluid starvation at steep inclines like the earlier models did.

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    It wont limit it at all. I would much rather have the manual for any type of towing.

    I could see why, but at the same time, not in a mini truck. Especially if it has stock gears. You'd burn a clutch too quickly just to get the load moving. IMO BTW.
