Not really. You drive it you wouldn’t notice it unless you came from a manual that had it.

Or deal with absurdly steep hills in SF when you drive your kid to Chinese school.

I had a friend that went up to sf with a newer manual Jetta she didnt know that she had the hill hold feature in her car. But like I said After not having it you just get used to it. I did almost roll into the liquor store while I was attempting to reverse out. But the clutch start cancel button is supposed to be your savior.

An embarrassing moment in Death Valley for me was, a work truck f-250 or bigger coming down the hill pulls off to the side to let me advance up the hill. But the manual taco in 4hi is kinda weak on the torque. I almost stalled and dropped it into 4lo and had no problem. It was embarrassing to watch this f-250 smoke the tires in reverse up a hill that I could barely drive up in 4hi.

Am I the only one that actually likes that feature? I even like it off-road.

How many time did you overrev past a shift point because you were mid dip when it was time to change gears? Or swerved into the other lane because you were dipping and shifting and not steering?

Yes, in 4hi she struggles even at slightest inclines.

Couple weeks ago I went camping. Stopped on a slight incline to wait for my buddies. Was aired down to 18, and about 700 pounds of extra weight over stock. She barely moved in 2hi, I thought I was in 3rd for a sec haha. My clutch wasn’t happy for a few secs there.

I did not even know mine had it until I stop at that hill and was expecting to roll back,... then it did..... I though WTF
But just like the clutch start button, it has its uses.

It only works on a steep hill,.. truck knows the difference.

So its only an option you think?
My truck was special ordered and the guy got tired of waiting and bought something else,... 3 weeks later the truck landed, 8 months after he ordered it.

I love my MT, but off-roading/crawling with a MT can be challenging at times. Unless one has a crawl box or new transfer case gears, its easy to stale without pressing on the clutch constantly or burning it in some cases. I personally haven't burnt my clutch but I've seen people do it a lot while crawling up obstacles.

    Even in 4low?

I barely use throttle when I’m in 4lo, I mean to get moving.
