Manual T-Case for 3rd Gen Tacoma

Hi folks,
I heard a rumor that someone on this forum put a manual transfer case from an FJ-Cruiser into a 3rd Gen Tacoma. Does anyone have any info on this or experience doing it? My 3rd Gen Tacoma (2017) is the first 4x4 I've owned without a manual T-case and I've never come around to the dial-shifter. My main complaint is the slow engagement of low-range (and the beeping that ensues). I also just miss the physical engagement of the floor shifter. A couple of years ago we bought a 2019 4-Runner (Off-Road) for my wife, and we both love the manual T-case. Unless its really risky, I'd like to swap my dial-shifter for a floor shifter! Thanks in advance.
