A manual locker will likely override it since they're designed to lock the axles when one wheel slips. How much slip? Idk, ask the enginerds that made it :)

Thank you for your reply. Let me (hopefully) clarify. With my 2009 when in 4H I have automatic limited slip (not open axles). This combination of traction gets me through 95% of the places I take my truck. I’m just wondering if by installing a rear locker if I would still have limited slip when the locker is not locked. Secondly I’m wondering if when in 4H and locked would the limited be trying to work and screw things up. (I believe 2009 and 2010 are the only years Tacos when in 4H the truck automatically applies electronic limited slip. When in 4L no limited slip, open axles unless I do a certain mod)

It's to my understanding that limited slip is overridden as soon as the locker is turned on. The locker makes it so the wheels move in unison with equal power and having limited slip engaged during this defeats the purpose of the locker. Again, this is to my understanding. I'm sure there are way more qualified people to speak on that

This would be an instance where a selectable locker would be used. No matter which 4x4 setting you're in. I was open/open, and locked the rear, it's even locked in 2hi (when heavier on the throttle to engage it) for maximum rainy day funsies and snowy butt-pucker moments. However, best my interneting has netted me, the existing limited slip anything is removed and replaced with the locker.

If you're asking, can I have both? That answer is no.

Ah, you're referring to the "4LO mod" gray wire/yellow wire write-ups?
