Howdy y'all, first time long time blah blah asdfhjklsdfjkl... :)

I just got a new 2019 ACLB and I'm wondering why the tailgate lock cylinder functions are rotationally opposite of the driver's door?

A shitty Dodge truck I used to have was this way and I think my '06 Tacoma was too. What's the reasoning?

Understood, but once you go remote you can never go back. My 1st Gen remote stopped working after I tore out the shitty aftermarket alarm. Hard to get used to manually opening.

yeah, it would be nice. Kinda surprised it’s not a standard feature tbh.

It seems the only standard features are the ones that are mandated by law like safety and back up cameras.
