Apart from just being way more awesome, a lot of the immediate difference you're noticing is probably the gear ratio difference. Manuals are 4.30s vs like 3.93 or whatever in the auto.

Will be exciting to see what 'all that extra jazz' costs to repair in a few years.

Or the innovative 'disable it' solutions that DIY'rs come up with so it can still be driven/lights turned off etc.

Traded my 17 Auto for an 18 MT in October, haven't been happier. Even just having had hand surgery this past Thursday, and driving an MT 1 handed, I wouldn't consider an AT again

I asked her if she would have even noticed the difference if I brought a manual home and she said she probably wouldn't have...that is until she tried driving it. At that point I would have made up some bs about

"that's how the automatics are now...that's Sport shifting" lol

When you trade for the MT, you can show her the depreciation hit. I bet she notices that. Then you can explain that next time it's better just to trust you. Fool proof!

Thankfully my wife enjoys manuals. Seems cheapest solution here is, trade in the wife for a Manual .

Lol, I will say this though. I bet you I can sit in "1st gear" in s mode on an auto longer than I can in 1st gear on a manual!

Just wish I could get a DCLB with a manual transmission. Why this isn’t offered is beyond me.

With that said what’s the likelyhood of dropping a manual transmission in after the fact for a reasonable cost?
