    Hi everyone,
Turning 60k on the taco and need to change the trans fluid. Didnt see a writeup on the subject and wondered what size the plugs( same as diff 24mm?) are and what the torque specs are. Is the fill hole easy to access? Hopefully someone out there has been through this once before :) i got the 2.7 prerunner 2008 if that makes a difference Thanks!

Yes they're both 24mm. It's not too bad if you have a fluid pump you can stick in the bottle. IIRC the fill hole is on the right side, in contrast to the 6 speed which has it on the left. That means let your exhaust cool off first. Crazy engineers. Don't know the torque specs.

Just have 3 quarts on hand, and regardless of what the manual claims, don't use anything labeled GL5 if you want factory "smooth-ish" shifting without grinding.

Popular options are Redline MT90 (my personal choice), Amsoil MTG, supposedly Napa has a GL4 conventional 75w90 oil... that's all I can think of off hand

Thanks for the feedback! Ordered some mt 90 from Amazon and got the torque spec from the dealer ( 27 lb/ft ) Looking to do the work next friday when it gets here. Ill be sure to let it cool down first :)
