Hey guys potential newbie here.....always have owned full size trucks but really have admired Tacomas.

My last truck was a tuned Ram Cummmins 6 Speed and I prefer a manual transmissions. Tacoma has that option though limited availability

So here's the question I will have to travel a long distance to find a manual trans Tacoma. Prior to making journey I'm wondering if at my size. ( 6'4" 240lbs ) will I be able to comfortably drive the truck???

    Opinions??

    Thanks

    Dave

Im 6'1 and have a reg cab, i have to slide the seat up a notch or two to push the clutch to the floor, find an auto for sale in your area and take a test drive just to make sure

Sit in an auto trans Tacoma and see what you think. The room should be the same. FWIW I am 6'2" and don't even use the seat all the way back in my AC.

    Dave,

Auto or manual, you should fit fine but there is one review of "worst/best" that I read that said the Tacoma was a worst for tall people.

I'm 6'3" and 275 and I'm very comfortable IN my 2014 DCSB. My seat is all the way back, though. I'd like to go back another click. Getting in does require a flex of the neck that can be a pain when my C5 disk is giving me trouble. Once inside headroom is terrific.

At 6'3" and 225 lbs, I am very comfortable in my reg cab w/auto with headroom to spare.

Thanks guys....I'm planning on a double cab. Sure headroom will be ok but more worried about sufficent space to stretch legs and shift easily hate being cramped up in order to drive. Particular if wearing boots.
Had a Jeep wrangler unlimited and even though I could shift it was too narrow and the seat didn't go back far enough for comfort. I could operate but not comfortably Conversely my Ram had tons of space

I'm 6'4" 240lbs and I found it fun to drive the manual.
Although it doesn't have the leg room my Camry has it still was comfortable.

Yes you will be able to comfortably drive the vehicle but getting in and out will be a pain. I am not as tall as you and getting in and out of these things without banging your head on the upper door panel is a chore. Stiff neck or bad back forget it.
