Soooo.. I just installed a new exhaust. New cats, muffler and oxygen sensors. I sealed up the muffler and waited for the putty to cure before I started it up. Next morning I go to start, everything starts just fine. It sounds great because all the leaks were gone, engine idled great as well but I couldn’t shift.

My clutch is activating but I can’t get out / go into any gear. When the engine is off, I can shift into all gears smoothly but not while it’s running. I put it into 1st while off, than started it and I can drive around that way but I can’t shift up. The clutch is activating so I know my master is good.

I’m wondering if when I replaced my oxygen sensors, if it’s causing a little haywire with something else. Before I started my exhaust work, everything ran fine besides the exhaust issues I was fixing. Could new oxygen sensors be messing with my TPS sensor or something else? My check engine light is still on so I’m thinking my TPS sensor needs replaced but not too sure.

    what do y’all think?

Also, would my TPS sensor be the issue I’m having with my transmission?

That sounds entirely like a clutch issue, especially since you can shift it while not running. Any chance you damaged the lines between master and slave cylinders? Or pinched them?

No they’re all clear. I can see the master engaging when the clutch is pushed in.

Since I drove it perfectly fine before I started my exhaust work, I’m doubting it’s a clutch issue unless my families bad luck has all of a sudden appeared on my end. Cause man that’s some terrible luck if it’s a bad clutch!

There’s nothing electronic on these transmissions that would prevent a shift that I know of. :notsure:

Rebuilding seats with leather from furniture and extra padding. Might put leather on the dash and other interior parts.
Maybe check shift lever bushings. Mine didn't shift very easy. I pulled out the shifter shaft and found a bushing totaly worn, not even there. I installed new ones and it made worlds of difference. It feels new.

Last master I changed out had a slight leak but it was leaking by so it wasn't actually pushing the clutch disc in well if running. Was fine when off. Bought a new one, bench bled it, [very important to do] installed it and power bled it and it's like a brand new entire system.
