I love this thing! I never plan on letting it go either. It’s officially paid off this month

Man yours must have had the Prius mod! I get 9mpg... :drunk:

Full time AWD is awesome for here in NH. Makes navigating snowy roads simple. Don’t have to worry about switching in and out of 4x4. Also the manually shifted t-case is great!

I agree. the 2018 mats are different between 2017 and 2018. The holes for the latches are new. They are telling me that there is only 1 part number for mats now...kind of a universal mat.
not a huge deal to me, but it seems weird. I just cut mine down. I think when you mention faulty mats at Toyota, people get really nervous...baaaahaaa! maybe my truck will be a runaway vehicle? or maybe I will just try to push the 3rd pedal...lol

My driver mat is ok it's teaching the wife to put back the passengers s after she's left the truck creep's up under the heater box all the GD time. Wish it had the same lock tabs as the drivers side.

Girlfriend got me the Husky mats for Christmas, no more creeping on the passenger side and much better water retention from the melted snow.

I think only the passenger side front mat is the only thing that changed, they added the holes so it could be secured. Sounds like the Dealer does not know what is going on.

Oh does the passenger mat holes indicate that it's 2018? In that case yeah 2018 has both AT and MT versions. The first pair of mats I got (that were specifically for autos) had the passenger mat holes.

I am pretty sure there is Manual and Auto Mats for 2018 too, the passenger side mat with the holes is new for 2018 as my 2017 does not have them.

Nice TRD shifter! Do you have the part number, and how hard is it to change?

Which TRD shifter are you referencing? Either way, changing the shift knob is as easy as unthreading the old and threading the new one on. Depending on the knob, you might have to do something to tame the shift boot afterwards.

    None,
I had that same problem living in Toronto, people thought i was crazy as well, I just love driving a manual, Having said that i am on my second clutch with only 32000 kms the dealer cant figure out why.
any ideas? The truck has a drive line vibration at highway speeds felt in the shifter, when the truck is warm and in neutral there is a thumping noise coming from under the truck. Push the clutch pedal in and the noise goes away, 2017 SR 4cyl 5spd 4X4

I have a TRD CAI and TRD Catback. Very happy with both. Nice sound with no drone at highway speeds. Just a nice tone.

Ok new to a tacoma a month ago purchased a 08 ac or 6mt. Either the tranny hates me or they did something to it. Im used to my 93 once rolling never touch the clutch until i stop. Try it in the 08 n no it grinds or just wont go into gear until i push the clutch. Just like dodge front wheel drive cars. Is it just me having to learn the 6spd or the gears too great of a jump.

I'm no expert on manual transmissions, but I do believe operating the clutch is important to shifting gears.

I have Husky floor mats and they are specific in front for manual transmissions. They’re made especially to accommodate the clutch pedal. I love them.
