Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

Have any of you experienced the buzzing issue in the upper 1K lower 2K rpm range that's been circulating around in 2016 tacos? I'm still waiting on my MT to arrive and I'm starting to be a bit concerned.

Only 400 miles in and everything is good so far. Will report back every tank I run through!

what I've noticed is actually a smoother truck overall after my long trip. It was smooth before, but it feels like the engine has settled in a little bit. No buzzing or weird vibrations at any given point regardless of how long or fast I've driven. Even had her up to 95 passing a truck, no vibrations beyond the truck screaming :)

Interesting. Just got my 2016 off road MT and in 6th gear, keeping RPM's constant at right about 2k there is a definite buzzing in the steering wheel. Most notably if you hold the bottom of the steering wheel.

Not a big enough deal for me to personally care about it, but to say it isn't noticeable would be an understatement.

I like the truck a lot so far. It is my first manual transmission vehicle so I have a lot of learning to do, but I'm very glad I chose a manual over auto.

550 mile round trip on Friday and I had no ill effects from buzzing or anything, I am pretty sensitive to that stuff, I think I would have noticed. My truck is all stock, AC 6spd TRD Sport, only upgrades so far have been some headlights and a tonneau.

Only thing I noticed is a bit of road noise that filtered through the cab from behind me. I plan on removing the rear seats and headrests, never use them anyway, and adding some sound insulation back there to keep the noise down. Besides that, very very happy with how the truck ran.

Asked to someone else, but my trip started at 32PSI, and after everything warmed up, I saw it go up to 34 and 35psi.

I know exactly what is going on w/ rear noise..

I'm working an audio build right now. Do u see the black box above the woofer? Those are the cabin vents.. When driving down the road , the tabs in the vents lift up, I can actually see the bed of the truck through the vents they open up so much.. This pores a lot of road noise into the cabin..

The fix hopefully will be Mass Loaded Vinyl material over these areas.. Can't plug it up though! That will cause issues..

It's seems like this buzzing noise and vibration tends to happen mostly to V6 autos but there are a few cases with a manual. I was wondering how many of our manual drivers are experiencing similar issues. It also appears to happen after a few miles to some.

Mine does it some. I can live with it. I notice it most in 5th gear under load (big passes) It is not bad enough to turn me off from this great truck.

Nothing weird here after 7800 miles except the occasional mirror whistling if I'm driving in a big side wind. I had some issues early on with the truck being hard to keep in a straight line at highway speeds, but that was easily fixed by adding a few PSI to the tires.

You're one of the 3 or 4 manual owners who have mentioned it. It doesn't seem to be nearly as common or as bad in the manual as in the auto.

Probably is a similar ratio in manual owners as in auto owners, given the ratio of manuals to autos that have been sold.

I tried this again and it failed. I have a 2016 TRD OffRoad Manual. I wonder if this is only a feature on the Sport?
I was in 1st gear, and started to go up a hill, then came to a complete stop (clutch all the way in, and brake all the way in) I counted to 5 and then released the clutch as i gave it gas and the truck rolled backwards. I tried this again in 4x4 and it was the same. Hmmm.... any other ideas to try?

Nevermind.... i just read: (HAC not available on TRD Off-Road 4WD M/T.)

"Tacoma’s Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) 17 helps you safely get up those hills. This technology helps minimize Tacoma from rolling backward when you move your foot from the brake to the gas pedal, so you can move upward with confidence. (HAC not available on TRD Off-Road 4WD M/T.)"

Yeah, the Off Roads don't have it apparently. It probably isn't compatible with all the other traction assist toys you get on the Off Road.

You know what the off road auto isn't compatible with? Having fun with a stick.
