That's the shift pattern for those sporty cars so that you can quickly and easily be going back and forth between 2nd and 3rd while taking corners and such. You should go carve around a racetrack in that beast!

In that truck you do go between 2nd and 3rd a lot. Just have to pay attention when going from 3rd to 4th.
Don't do too much high speed cornering with 1000 gallons of water on the back.

Damn brother you have everything I want!!! Lol. Actually yes. I’m assuming this is what you bought?

    https://core-shifters.com/products/...2016-2019-v6-4x4-rc62f?variant=21350990676086

If so, curious did you go with that style stick or swap it out? Same goes for the knob? Got any pictures?

I have a billet knob from @7r41lbr34k3r I’m curious if this knob would fit the core shifter.

If you are going up a hill with a full load and go into 5th instead of 4th it will bog down a bunch. You loose all your momentum, and pretty much have to go all the way back to 2nd or even 1st if you really mess it up. Not good when you are trying to get to a fire as quick as possible.

the Core uses different threading. @7r41lbr34k3r knows the deal. you will need an adapter. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/DMG-356036-H

Rick is actually about to cut me a custom knob for the Core, and he's using the Core threads so no adapter. but it's not started yet, we've been going back & forth for a while waiting for my number to come up. so unless you want to see my janky holdover solution i got nothing good to show yet. but the Core is the best of the bunch if you like it mechanical.

can't judge without seeing in person, I keep looking at the photo, not liking the red, but the shiny ball keeps me looking back. Oh and the tape is freaking great.

lol, I actually wasn't used to a reverse lockout. I once drove my friends Scion Tc with the 6-Speed and meant to reverse when I actually put in back into 1st and rolled forward inside a trafficked car park.
