Thoughts on valvoline maxlife? We use that across multiple vehicles.

I used that version of motor oil at one point or another, think as long as it meets the specs of whatever it's going in you should be GTG.

I'm the opposite. I've used Redline in the past and it cured issues on our cars and the Taco. The issues on the cars were much bigger than the Taco, and I got at least 60k out of it before swapping.

Like I said, I've only heard good things about the Ford stuff but have never tried it. Between the two, I don't think there is a bad choice, including going with what you know.

Changed my trans fluid again today (95k on the truck). First time was at about 40k and then today.

Has been immediately noticeable both times I’ve done it. In my truck 1/2/3 gear get finicky when it’s time to change the fluid.

Had the newest pedal TSB performed. Still have the clicking. Someone recommended I check through the window in the transmission and it sounds like the pressure plate.

    what are your thoughts?

The dealer installed the pedal TSB and then gave your truck back to you sounding like that? :annoyed:

Well, it isn't the pedal or the slave.

I understand how diaphragm clutches work, but I have never had to mess with one, only motorcycle clutches. I'm sure that someone here will have an idea though.

Same boat, familiar with motorcycle clutches and can replace them easily. This worries me.

This is a great view of the throw out bearing. I don't see any binding or jolting of the throw out bearing when the noise occurs. So it must be one of the springs on the clutch. Sounds like you need to take it back and get a new clutch.

Do you have the exact TSB? I literally just had mine in yesterday for an oil change and brought up the clicking clutch and they said its totally normal. Drives me crazy

New throw out bearing resolved this, flex plate was replaced as well for good measure. Covered under warranty.
