If you are spinning clutch the stink is tremendous. You will know it.

Stock tires are not great in mud yes, most tires are ok, unless you get MTs of course.

I only use 1st when i need go very slowly over rough terrain, or when going up/down very steep hills if i dont wanna use brakes.

Most of the time 2nd is fine to take off in 4LO.

Not sure what mean that its difficult to tell if you spinning clutch or tires. Before i did the ADM i had to do a lot of guessing with my left foot though.

Around 42500 it was i believe, i talked them down around 3k so i paid 39500.

Im not 100% certain on msrp number, but it shouldnt be too far off. Ill try to find that printout they gave me.

Haha! MT is a bit cheaper than auto, i think thats why.

Ok yeah, we paid the same amount almost. I had employee pricing. Was literally cheaper to buy and finance a 2019 than it is for a 2017-2018.

Did you build yours or was it on the lot already? When I went down, they were trying to figure out what model it was because they couldn't find it in the catalogue

Yeah I'm aware but there comes a second before you get the smell and by then the damage is done. Basically what I'm saying is it really brought to light how numb the clutch really is. Luckily I wasn't burning up the clutch in this case.

Funny thing. I wanted black, leather, sunroof and MT. I was driving around dealerships to look for one. Most didnt have it on the lot, then i went to new west toyota and they actually ordered 1 MT truck with all the things that i wanted like a week prior.

It showed up week later with about 6km, i test drove it then bought a week later. Love it more everyday.

Edit: they also gave me the best price.

True but in Reverse it is super easy to stink the clutch - not necessarily in 4LO but in 4HI regardless if ADM or not. I did it once. Pretty much I have resigned myself to a high performance clutch if and when the ghost leaves this stock clutch.

Agree about the reverse being super high.
The good thing is if all your forward gears fail , you can get home in reverse going 50km/hr:D

    I have that.

I did it in 4HI - R not even knowing I was smoking the stink plate. In some sticky ass snow I was forced to back into.

Happened so quickly didn't think I needed 4LO!

With the 1st and R ratios being what they are, 4Lo is also your friend. Since we don't have the wasteful torque multiplication of an AT TC, I generally drop into 4Lo before other folks.

The snow is powdery and deep. Went for a drive, and driving through snow banks didn't even phase the truck. I definitely wouldn't recommend driving to work, especially to UBC. It is now snowing again pretty hard. Work tomorrow will be fun.

My Superswampers were prone to flat spotting even when warm. This wasn't the same, it got worse again later when I picked up 100kgs of salt and put in the back. After a little bit it disappeared again.

Gotta keep the sidewalks cleared and safe.

The truck was clear a half hour ago. I work tomorrow in south Van. Hope the conditions improve. Making $0 sucks.
