Frontier was an option in some models last year and I even heard about special orders for MT in trucks that are not listed to have MT in 2018. Unknown about 2020 though.

I can’t seemed to find the right combination on the Canadian build your own site, everything just says only available in an Automatic.

When I bought in 2017, the Frontier was not available in double cab MT. Only the access cab. Not even special order according to the dealer I talked too. I test drove a 2015 TRD Sport they had but wanted $39,990 with 41,000kms. New was $42,500. So I didn't get a Frontier or the used Sport.

You can still get the Frontier Pro 4X MT Double Cab in the US.

It's funny how these manufacturers have different models between Canada and the US.

    Canada

And in the US they offer 2 levels with MT

I would enjoy knowing the thoughts behind this for the North American and Central American markets in general. Of course, there is enough difference in regulations that it might just be it. I do remember drooling over all the cool stuff that Mexico gets.

I will say that US regs seem wholly out of date on a lot of things like lighting. Folks were on the hunt for E-code lighting 20+ years ago.

It's different with Tacoma's too, you cannot get a ACOR MT in the US but you can in Canada.

Yeah ! It doesn’t make sense. Also I really wanted a DCLB OR but I’m limited the to the Sport because they don’t have a LB OR up here. Also I think if you go with a shortbed Sport in Canada it only comes with the Mt.

If anyone wants a MT OR Access cab, I will gladly buy one and swap for a DCLB OR :D.

Yeah !! And it’s kind of a weird package, they also only come with leather and sunroof.

Fancier truck with leather etc but it has a MT. Where I feel most MT guys are more drawn towards a basic package, cloth, no sunroof, less is more kind of deal. It’s a weird combo.

I can't find a AC SB MT for the life of me.

That is interesting. Just coming out of raising kids, leather was alway an important option. On the Subby side, I would have been able to sell my wife on an MT only if it came with leather, which is not the case.

But I do agree that MT folks are probably not basing their purchase decision on the seat coverings. I definitely didn't.
