I was able to shift into 1st on my ranger while rolling. It did have a mazda M5OD transmission though.

 

After the ADM and up to the OVT 2.0 release, I was dropping it into 1st smoothly a couple times a day. With 2.0 and the much improved DFCO cut in, I coast down in 2nd almost to a stop.

Did the ADM today. Wow, this should have been done the moment I brought it home from the dealership. Shifts are consistent, smooth, and predictable now! Thanks for the kit @Trident904, it worked flawlessly and only had to make a few minor adjustments to the bends.

 

Awesome! I really wish Toyota was a little more consistent with the OEM trans hardline routing. Some trucks, the bends are spot on, others need slight adjustments. It’s crazy.

Ok guys it's time to do the clutch

Toyota quoted me basically $1000
For all the parts, flywheel and all.

Anyone have any other options as far as prices and or another maker?

 

If you want better than OEM for less money, check out the URD Stage 2 clutch and if you’re off roading a lot, the TORQUE-U flywheel or their OEM replacement flywheel.

I did mine in my garage with a buddy in 12 hours. I paid under $1000 for all of it.

Also, while you’re in there, replace the throw out bearing.

Anyone on the 813 want to teach me to drive stick. Ready to trade this AT trash in

 

meh. hype & overpriced. nice knobs but i wouldn't want it in my Tacoma, although i used one of his extensions a couple years ago.

 

Where do I find better weighted shift knob?

 

what kind of weight do you want? there are endless options. i have a few that you could try just to see what suits you. i used to have a 733g knob and now I'm using one under 200g.

speeddawg.com will get you a huge selection of standard ball knobs around 150-200g. your thread spec is 12x1.25.

07 OR with 96k miles here and for the second time I got the squeaky clutch/throw out bearing. SMH. Had the TSB done around 45k miles and it’s back. Sucks.
