My guy keeps asking if I would make any compromises on what I want for my Taco. Offered a 2022 Trail edition, had to say no again. Like the grill and rims they have.

Ooooh thanks for that! I'll check it put for sure!

That’s interesting…I’m always intrigued by weird international differences like that. As far as I know, it’s only using the TPMS as a signal, I’m sure there is an easy solution.

Yeah it is easy to get used to. I love 4L in this thing, and so does my clutch. They don't have hill assist to prevent rollback which is kind of annoying but you get used to it. Also, learn about the Clutch Start Cancel (CSC) just in case you really need it one day.

The CSC was actually one of the things that I was pretty stoked on, even though, I hope I never put myself in a situation where I need it. Haha

Out of curiosity I looked at the N2designs website. They clearly show that the Remote start will work with Canadian model trucks. We don't have to cut a wire to the TPMS module because we don't have it. Makes the install that much easier. I may consider this. I had remote start in my manual Corolla... it was great when I remembered to set it in ready mode.

@N2DesignsInc could probably answer definitively on how it works in Canada.

Is it possible to have someone build a custom T harness so you don't have to cut into any wires? I know there are some pretty handy people here who build stuff like that for the illumination harness, 2Lo, etc. I've done a lot of stuff to mine and managed not to cut into a single factory wire and don't really want to start, but I'd consider getting a remote start if they start sending me back into work again at our office location where I have to park outside in MN winters.

Has anyone gotten an increase in performance on the 3.5L V6 without going to high test gas? Already did the CAI and Cat Back. Don’t need anything that messes with the trans since it’s a manual.

By the way, I’m a manual lover. It’s been said “You drive a manual and operate an automatic”.

There is minimal improvement with the CAI and Exhaust. They can sound better than stock though.

On Reg fuel, the ECU TSB Update and vF Tune makes a considerable difference. It might sound weird, but it even improves shifting. If it has never been touched, you're likely on ECU ID 04B11. The current is 04B14. See the links below for more info.

You don't have to, we are the only ones in the world that make a kit for 3rd gen manuals. Click Here to view the product.

No trouble whatsoever, ask Canadians and Americans alike on this forum who have one since the early days the kit was released years ago. Real world and field proven.

    Not in Canada. USA, true.

Correct. And I'm pretty sure I know how you know. Nothing like trial and error...;):p:D

We have many. MT included. Actually, more MT than auto if anything when it comes to our Canadian customer base.

Correct. Only tap the CSC button (NOT CUT). So you can call it 100% plug n play for Canada technically.

Sorry for the late reply...barely making it out alive from the holiday rush that inundated us (we're humbled and blessed by the growth, support & loyalty our TW family has shown us) we appreciate you all. Don't hesitate to reach out by emailing or calling us for a quicker response!

    Love your signature line!

I may not recall all my vehicles since my first one in 1988, but I can attest that every single one I personally owned was a manual. In fact, that first one, the stick shift was on the steering column!

And every Tacoma I have owned (I believe my first one was around 2006) has been M/T.

That's some comprehensive customer service answering right there.

I don't have anything on my truck that you guys make, but after that excellent reply, maybe it's time to start shopping.... :spending:

Considering getting a 2022 3rd gen MT as my next truck. I previously owned an early 3rd gen AT, and I know there were some issues with the MT at that time (I want to say it was some "extraneous" part that was ruining shifting feel? This was a few years ago though so I don't quite remember). Wanted to see if whatever the issue was got resolved. TIA guys!

It's called the clutch accumulator. It's easily resolved by removing it and replacing it with a brake line. :D

Search "ADM" in the 3rd gen forum and you'll see several threads about it. Easily done in your driveway with parts store bits.

So once the accumulator is removed, how does the stick feel? I sold my 2017 auto because I HATED the transmission, would hate to buy a manual and have it turn out that the issue was actually the 3.5L Atkinson cycle...
