Just purchased a third gen trd sport..looked at over 30 brand new tacomas before I came across a manual. Not only would I prefer to drive manual any day, but just to know that my truck is still the minority among all the tacomas on the road is a rewarding feeling in itself! Never will you see me driving an automatic that is mine.

I am so pleased that Toyota has changed the tail light lenses away from those clear plastic covers I've seen some older Tacoma's where they are already faded and look terrible ! Good move for 2016 !

Who's gonna be the first to run the manual in a 1/4 mile? I just want to see a 14.9 so all the 2nd gen'ers can fear us at stop lights :stirthepot:

I apologize if this has been asked before - 76 pages.. but, what have you guys found works best for floormats? I've seen that WT only specifies automatic trans. Was looking for Husky or a more affordable alternatives

My brake pedal squeaks when pressing it, my clutch pedal doesn't. But my clutch pedal does make some weird popping or loud creaking sound when releasing it at the top of its range in first. Almost like once it is starting to engage I have the option of pulling my foot off quickly (and bucking forward) or keeping it slow and smooth but hear the clutch pedal pop/creak a couple times. Really weird, only 2000 miles on the truck and started maybe 500 miles ago. Is this similar to what you are experiencing?

Sounds like it based on your description. It's quite a bit more prominent in first gear when starting from a complete stop since you need to feather the clutch and hang out for a second or two with the pedal half depressed, unlike the quicker shifting done at higher speeds. It's really annoying, but can be remedied pretty easily once you take a look up in there and figure out where the contact point is.

I have the factory all weathers and I am very happy with them. The only place I wish they had more coverage is right beside the accelerator. I did some looking around and none of them cover the area I would really like covered. I have my own solution to my issue.

Mask off the area I want covered on the carpet and shoot it with some bed liner. Only doing about a 5"x9" area of the carpet. Have not done it yet waiting on a couple days off in a row so I can give it time to set up. I have however bed lined carpet in an entire truck before takes a while, you need to bush the carpet all the same direction after a steam clean and complete dry.

Oem all weathers here as well. Better than the garbage fabric mats but I'm still not happy with them as my right boot heel is starting to wear another hole through the mat again. I wish they made floor mats in teak or steel plate.

Just picked up the new truck tonight. Ordered in Texas mid-January. Couldn't be happier and I've put a few goodies on since arriving back home.
