Is this fj knob heavier than the stock knob?

I assume that means you bought from the same eBay seller? Or is yours the actual Toyota TRD knob?

Thanks. The ones from the ebay seller listed earlier are not true TRD parts. Ill wait for his response. Ive been trying to decide if I want to go this route or to make my own out of a deer antler bur. I figured I could drill it, fill it with lead then insert a threaded insert. It would look cool just have to figure out a way to get enough weight in it.

For all who is interested there were three manual transmission tacos in Tennessee as of Friday, 2 at a Memphis dealership and 1 at a Knoxville dealership. They could be spoken for already but were in the dealers inventory.

    None.. Yet....
When I had the weather techs they did not have any for the Manual Transmission.. My foot kept catching on the dead pedal.

See the one inch space between the dead pedal and the right edge of the liner dead pedal cover

I have not seen the need for a short shifter on this truck. The last gen, sure.. This one already has a fairly short throw and is really smooth

My fiancé got me huskys for my 2010 because weather tech said they didn't make ones for manual. The huskys are heavy duty and nice but my left foot would catch on a wip sometimes. For the 2016 OEM weather mats they seamed nice at first but the pasanger side moves around easily and they are thin.

Always room to improve. I feel like this trucks shifts kind of sloppy compared to previous models, I've had MT in all generations. It seems strange there is so much side to side play when in gear. Not a serious gripe, just an observation.

Found this a couple weeks ago and got lucky it didn't sell. Drove 260 miles down to DC for 2500 under msrp.

Pretty sure its the same issue with the 2nd gens as well. The bushing used from stick to trans gets warped if you used the stick more than a retiree would lol. Mine had some play and then I swapped it out for a Core Hurst Shifter and within a few months I had about 2" of play every way whilst in gear, went another bushing before Core replaced mine with one that was a different material and its held up ok since. It's been about 6 months since I swapped the bushing and I can feel it getting a touch sloppy again...might need to just buy like 20 from him and swap them out when they get sloppy lol

I'm loving my 2015 TRD Pro DC 6 speed. The supercharger does make it a whole lot more fun to drive tho :DIMG_0929.jpg

Agreed! Going from a 2011 4.0 Auto to a 2015 Supercharged 6 speed was awesome!

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
2nd genners with a TRD blower should have a leg up. Not that its fast hahaha. But shes got more power and basically the same weight as a 3rd gen.
