    Hi. I have 2002 tacoma. after 215k I will do the firts time oil transmisssion change. can some one know what kind of oil can I used o it is to late to change it.

    Yes. But because I never changed it maybe it is other oil for the transmission

    GL 4, 75w90, just like the book says.

    At that mileage and never changed, I'd suggest budget friendly dino fluid, drive it a while, then change it again. This will help clean up the internals.

    Make sure you remove the fill plug before the drain plug.

    Because if you were to drain the trans, then find the fill plug too stuck to manage yourself, you'd have a problem.

    So, is this 4wd or 2wd? If the trans has never been changed, it's safe to assume the rest of the driveline hasn't been serviced either. Do it all.
