    Update:

Here is a video of the truck shifting:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IWh0MzmXO0

My 2016 TRD OR DCSB V6 Manual now has over 2000 miles on it. When cruising down the interstate at 75 mph for an extended period of time, it will get stuck in gear, and it becomes extremely difficult to shift. This usually occurs when shifting back and forth between 5th and 6th, but it has been stuck in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th gear both up shifting and down shifting. I have to literally force it out of gear when it gets stuck.

I took it into the dealer at 1800 miles and they said they weren't able to replicate it because during their test drive it was only driven in the city and short spirts of freeway at 65mph, so it never stuck for them. Since it never stuck, they said that their isn't a problem to diagnose. I showed them a video clip, but they said it has to happen while they are driving.

I need to get this problem fixed because it becomes a safety issue on the I-17. When downshifting on uphills, I lose over 10 mph when trying to get it to shift from 6th to 5th. Feel free to comment on the video if you would like.

    Thanks

don't know much about the '16 manual trans, maybe see if there is a slave cylinder and check if its leaking. if its a hydraulic clutch it probably has one, don't really know.

I have the TRD Sport DCSB V6 Manual with about 1400 miles, I have not had any issues with it getting stuck in any gear. One time I couldnt get it into first but I think it was more of an issue of being rushed to get it into gear and I dont think I caught the right spot. I just pulled it into second, then pushed it up into first.

Take it back to the dealer before you change anything !! It's new so you shouldn't have to do a thing. They may try to void your warrenty if you do. Not sure but if slave cyl was leaking I would think you clutch pedal would be getting spongey. Hope you get it straightened around or start lemon law process.

problem is "occasionally" gets stuck in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th gear when slowing down. it needs to do it at the dealer if it does not act up when they test drive it they will send you home.......

Exactly, that's why I am trying to hold off on taking it in. I drove it 40 miles yesterday, and it only happened once. There is also a possibility that if they up shift and down shift at different RPM's then I do, it might not even get stuck in gear.

So far it has only happened down shifting, but I usually up shift around 3 to 3.5k in the city and I have been getting 19 to 20 mpg with ko2s. Usually when the shifter gets stuck is when I have been in 5th for the last few miles cruising around 45 to 50 and then I hit a red light. I go to down shift to 4th and I have to pull hard to get it out of 5th. It's not consistent though.

There are no trims currently offered in 2wd with a manual trans. It's SR 4x4 I-4 access cab, Sport 4x4 access cab, and Sport & Off Road 4x4 double cab. Canada gets an Off Road 4x4 access cab.

Fair enough, I was going by what the sales man told me, but I should know better then to trust a sales guy! When I was looking for a truck, he asked me if I wanted to test drive a 2wd Manual sport lol
