Just trying to see if there is a pattern in just early built transmission or is a main general problem no matter when it was built. This is the issue where it gets stuck in gear after being in that same gear for more than 10 min driving in one particular gear.

I was looking to get a 2016 but this issue is making me change my mind.... This is a real problem not a look these 3rd gen haters, I have wanted a V6 with a manual for years but in my area they are hard to find in Wv, just to get what I want the truck I am getting is 2 1/2 hours away and will be here around the 15 of july... Please all manual tyranny guys vote in poll.. thanks

Thanks for the vote maybe it was a early build problem and the last few months they fixed the problem.

I'm at a dealer 1000 miles from home right now after developing this problem on a road trip. My truck had 500 miles when I left home. Now at 2000 miles stuck in Myrtle Beach and may not be able to continue on to Orlando as planned. We'll see.

Bought my truck VERY early 1st week of Oct 2015 no problem shifting... I did have a slight issue with 4WD but now concentrate on pressing the clutch ALL the way down when going into 4WD-LO - no more issues.

Well for 2 days I have contacted Toyota corporate office about this issue, 3 separate agents state not one complaint has been submitted about the automatic fluid problem or erratic shifting, nor the entune radio system shutting off for nor reason. Even though there is to be a update coming to fix issue.

I asked about manual transmission sticking problem he said not one complaint, but I know a few of you guys had to file a corporate claim just to get a transmission replaced.... so I know this has happened before. I talked to a supervisor also basically from what he was saying new consumers like me looking to buy one would Have no idea if there is a single tranny problem unless a recall is founded and started.

Dealer stated these transmissions and motor were in previous vehicles in Europe and etc with no issues at all. Hell who knows he said any forum chatter is BS the dealer and corporate said so untrue Bs...
