    Hello Everyone,

I have a 04' Tacoma V6 TRD with a 5spd. The truck has about 58,000 miles on it right now. At 50,000 miles I felt that I was going to have a tune-up. Change plugs, coolant, and tranny fluid. Up until then, I basically changed the oil every 3k miles, rotated the tires, and changed air filter. Since then, shifting into second, either up shifting or down shifting is a royal pain. It will go into second but it is a fight and not smooth. I took it back to the mechanic and he double checked to make sure he put in the right weight fluid. Everything checks out to him, but I know its not like it was prior.

All he did was replace the tranny fluid, what would cause this issue to begin?

    ANy help woudl be great.

    Welcome to TW!

I would start with making sure the right amount of fluid id in the tranny. Maybe consider replaceing it with a quality synthetic gear lube...
