My 2013 TRD sport has a rpm increase when shifting from 2nd-3rd and 3rd-4th gears. Is that normal

It's really more of a hang. And yes, it's normal.

I have the clunk when shifting. Mostly noticeable from 1st to 2nd. I also have a clunk when I push in the clutch (or neutral) and go over bumps - like a speed bump. I believe mine is the loose fit of the rear driveshaft yoke to the transfer case. Dealer looked at it and told me... drum roll...

It was "normal". Kind of sad when you're going over a speed bump people walking stop and look when they hear the clunk!

That is due to the electronic accelerator. It does not have the same response time as a manual one with linkage so there can be a little RPM increase. The only way to stop that is let off the gas sooner and then shift. My Corolla is way more noticeable than my Tacoma, but both do it.
