I don't care for leather shift knobs. Is there anyone with a manual out there that can confirm the thread pitch on the shift lever for the 2016 six speed? Hoping it is not the same pitch as the previous models so that my TRD knob will fit (if my truck ever gets here ordered 10/23/15).

Pretty sure I read somewhere that the TRD white ball handle fits the 16 .. can't say for sure where or if true!! I like the new shift knob. IF its leather its very stiff doesn't feel like leather to me.

On the 6MT I test drove, pushing down on the top of the knob with your thumb (like in the middle of the shift pattern) would produce a "clicking" sound, like a piece of plastic underneath the leather was deforming. Do they all do this, or did I just experience an early model quality issue?

The combination of the clicking thing and the fact that the stock knob looks like a botched circumcision would probably encourage me to replace it with an aftermarket option.

Trd knob fits fine. Just no insert part for boot ring, however rubber bands work great.

I would see if you can find listing for a 3rd gen knob on eBay or Amazon, and see if it lists the same threading. Or see is some one on the third gen section can measure their threads for you.
