It really doesn’t though. I do it all the time. I have a much harder time in an automatic because I have to ride the brake with my right leg and the car is constantly trying to run away.

    I Agree.

Why does no one complain about hitting the brake pedal and or throttle with regard to the often quoted "bad knees"??? (really?)

The clutch in the Taco is not that of a vintage Ferrari's - it is the softest I've ever owned AND among the very softest I've ever driven...

I agree too. It really becomes second nature and doesn’t burden me…at all.

3 pedal Ferraris are selling for 50%+ more than comparable F1 models now that you can no longer buy one new.

A lot of people whine about the manual Tacoma in traffic, try an 18 wheeler that probably takes about 10 times the force. It’s a Tacoma they are all in demand no matter what transmission they have.

....and 1st Gear is so low that as long as you're moving, even at 1-2 mph there's no need to shift to Neutral. Just leave a little distance and it's really not that bad. And if you're lucky, you'll get someone in the adjacent lane who is also driving a stick, and doing exactly the same.

Thanks. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in a Toyota. I had a HJZ77 lancruiser a few years ago. It was unbelievable. H55 5sp, in my opinion, one of the best MT ever made. Hopefully this one is as good.

It’s not my first colour choice but with how things are right now I will take what i can get. Also they offered a good amount for my suv on trade now, but wouldn’t guarantee that amount in a few months if i was to order. It’s a small town dealer a few hours away. They cant sell a manual short box. It’s hard enough for them to sell a DCLB over a Tundra. It turns out it was an extra truck given to them by Toyota on top of their normal allocations.

Just go looking to buy a Ram with the cummins and 6spd manual that were discontinued in 2018 and show me manuals are worth less than auto

“Why not?” - I was asking why he thinks an MT in traffic sucks. I don’t understand the “why not” response.

What do you mean by why not would an MT suck in traffic?

    seriously asking.

Everybody drives stick different but agreed. A slight crawl in first becomes second nature along with driving stick in general. If you grew up driving a manual and continued to do so throughout life or never really stopped these just are things you'll never really think about.

And i don't think it will affect a dime on resale. Might even help or increase resale since a manual is simpler to fix and less maintenance over the automatic. Just need to find a wealthy Gen Z to buy it in 20 years after your frame replacement who probably doesn't know how to drive stick, or an old Millennial trying to re-live his glory days on Tacomaworld during the historic pandemic of 2020!

I drove an MT for years and loved it. But having to deal with all that shifting in Atlanta's brutal morning and afternoon traffic would get old very fast. AT all the way in the ATL!
