Anyone know about how much it would cost to throw my auto trans in a hole and install a manual trans?

The conversion can be done but seriously it's a pretty big project. So IMO it's not worth it... *unless* you are committed to keeping your truck and you have a chunk of change to spend.

I'd suggest you put that money toward another rig that has the configuration you want. Sorry I don't have a real answer to your question about cost.

You would need an ecu from a manual as well if iirc..

The real problem here is just that I hate the way the auto shifts. You gotta really put your foot down hard for it to downshift. Then all of sudden you're tach is reading 5000...frustrating

My trans is starting too act odd now that I added the supercharger and I was contemplating doing this swap as well. I'm curious if the shafts and mounts are the same.

Given that this project would be best done using pieces of a parts mule (maybe a crashed/rolled MT), the specific parts needed should all be included.

Well.. cost of a crashed truck with MT, plus the cost of EPA coming after you for enviro-damage caused by the chemicals leeching out of the AT that you buried in that hole.

That and probably also the value of your time or whatever somebody else charges to do the labor for you.

LC Engineering has an adapter for an automatic GM transmission. Then with a controller, you could shift it however you want.

    Manually shift.

If you were to purchase a UCON, when it becomes available for general purchase, it can change the shifting a little.

It doesn't change the shift pattern one bit.
