Yea, couldn't believe it, one trip to the dealer and it was done, I think it was meant to be. My work has a credit union, so I also got a good rate. I love my truck, couldn't be happier!20240131_114317.jpg

Overview of 2023 Ford 10-Speed Transmission Class Action Lawsuit. A Ford 10R80 transmission class action lawsuit filed earlier in April alleges that at least five models equipped with 10-speed transmissions experience jerking, harsh shifting, lunging, clunking, hesitation, and sudden loss of power.

Sounds like Toyota Tacoma owners can also file suit!

I could be corrected, but I think the springs are different between the OR and the Pro as well.

I had sort of an opposite experience...

I drove into the dealer one day and they had exactly one MT on the lot. My checklist consisted of 2 items: 1. MT, 2. Cav Blue. It was a new 2019 Cement OR with all the bells and whistles, and it was there for a few months. No one wanted it because it was a manual.

She was meant to be yours. I was in the same boat, great feeling to get the exact one you want.

That happens with any manual vehicle in my area these days. Car or truck. Surprised that spec truck sat though. I definitely would’ve snatched it up too

Oddly enough, quite a few. Driving a manual has become "cool" again; my son, daughter, and (future) son-in-law, and most of their friends all drive manuals. There was a article published some time last year, don't remember the publication, but it was talking about the rise in the demand for manuals driven by the 20-30 crowd.

I taught both of my kids, my son-in-law learned while he was in the Navy, one of my son's friends got an old 4-Runner the day she got her license; her dad told her she could drive it as much as she wanted, the catch was it had three pedals under the dash. My son taught her and she mobbed that thing all over New England. My Tacoma has become the go-to vehicle to "borrow" simply because it has a manual transmission; I swear, it has been borrowed by more folks in the 16 months since I've owned it than all of my previous 20+ cars combined.

Do we know production breakdown for MY22? I need to know precisely how much to gloat about my unicorn but I can’t find a breakdown by transmission.

Also, I got $2k off sticker on mine in 2022. No market adjustment, no protection packages, not even a bunch of tacked on stuff; just $2k off the window sticker price. That might be more rare than the truck configuration itself.

I got wind of production numbers for 2021 Pro Tacos in the pro color (LR) a while back.
    - no idea how reliable those would have been...

From those numbers, it appeared that there were some 30-40 Lunar Rock Pro manual tacos produced.

3 of us (that I could see on TW) were fairly close by (2 were in the Bay Area).

At least 2 of us (if not all of us) had to go out of state to get these tacos.

I know of 1 that was KIA... so there is now at least one less than before...

off of the old 2019 numbers they made 5,000 pros a years with manuals at 5% so that would be 250. But I'm not sure if that 5% was total tacomas or just the trims that had a manual option.

I flew to get mine and drove back 800 miles. There were ones local to me but dealer ADM here is around 10k so worth the adventure.

The info is out there but I don't remember how I found it, somebody on here quite a while ago posted a link. I was able to find out my '22 Sport was one of 27 in that color and configuration in the US. MT AC Tacomas are either loded with tech or stripped, mine is as bare bones as you could get @ the time.

I had a deposit on mine months before it was built. My sales lady said they got calls from as far away as Texas for it while it was on thier website.
