Back when my guy was new (2005+), I lived in Mass and my roommate and I, co-workers and smokers at the time, would crank down the windows early every morning on the way to work. Violently cranking through the frost that inevitably froze the windows to the seals at the base of the windows through the winters.

Fast forward to now, living in NC, both windows are loose in the tracks and don't seal well. There's at least 1/4" of wiggle, up/down and side to side. I jam a piece of cardboard up in there to eliminate the whistling at higher speeds.

Before I open things up, does anybody have any descriptions, keywords, pics, or links to what I might find when I remove the panels? I'd like to know what to expect before I dig in and figure out what to replace.

I’m gonna bet bet you’ll need new window regulators.
