    Hey y’all,

Last night I installed the Ultimate LED map and dome lights from MESO and now I’m having an issue where my map and dome lights only shut off when the switch is in the “off” position.

When the switch is in the middle (door position) they don’t shut off when I shut my door and lock my truck as normal nor when I start my truck and start driving.

I’m thinking the issue might be where the dome is? The switch to turn the dome light on in the back does not work, the dome light only comes on when I have the switch up front set to door or all on.

    Thanks in advance. Much appreciated.

Reverse the fuse for the dome. May be the incorrect orientation for polarity.

The fuse labeled dome does nothing to any of the lights when I pull it, they all stay on. I did blow a fuse when installing them and replaced it with the same amperage.

Eliminate the dome/maps as the issue by plugging in the factory lights. If they work the issue is the MESO replacements. Then start messing with those. Any issues you cant fix I am sure he can help you out.

Haven't you heard? Improperly polarized fuses also cause that weird buzzing noise coming from the rear of the truck at night, too.

Which fuse did you blow? Unfortunately, the short could have done more than that...

The Dome 7.5A fuse blew, but it does literally nothing wether it’s in or out of place.

Are you completely sure you are dealing with the correct fuse?

Without the fuse the relay has no juice to convey...

OP: if it is the right fuse you mentioned doing nothing, maybe someone can pull theirs to verify the same result... I just wonder if the short (and hope it did not) do any damage to that circuit.

That's what I was thinking . You would think pulling that 7.5 the dome would go out .

DOMR (Dome Relay) needs power to close the coil side, without the Dome Fuse it should not happen. If relay is fused closed negating the coil function there still needs to be power coming from the Dome fuse run.
