Can anyone help me figure out why within the past 2 days the map lights in my 2016 look like they’re flickering or surging while the truck is running but when turned off the lights go back to normal. Also, I’ve noticed within the past 2 days my headlights have started doing the same flickering as the map lights I would have thought that it’s just normal HID bounce that most people have but it’s when the truck is parked. Any opinions would be great

    Do you have a multimeter?

I’ve experienced similar conditions, and had a broken alt field wire deep in the harness. Check batts and charging.

I would suspect those are the culprit

Those could be making the map lights flicker? The only reason I thought It wasn’t the HIDs was because of the map lights flickering too. That and that I’ve had my hids for almost 8 months now I didnt Think they would of all of a sudden messed something up

You're probably noticing the surging in the lights...but it's probably fluctuating in the entire electrical system to some degree

HIDs draw a fair amount of power. Issues with the ballasts or caps could certainly cause some weirdness

Makes sense, I’ll have to switch them back and se did it helps. If it works that just means I’ll have to get some Anzo headlights since they aren’t supposed to be run with HIDs which will make taking the HIDs out not so bad
