There's also the same mirror if not mistaken that also comes with with the outside temperature and a small dome light, but you need to a mount a sensor, and wire the mirror. I'm happy with the one I have. I have Doppler radar in the weather app on my head unit for the weather conditions, and selections for the temperature. Bob also sells used mirrors.

Got my interior LED`s today and installed, what a diiference, cheap & great upgrade. Why does Toyota put the dim mood lighting in??

Well did it. Took me longer than it should have. Did the first page mod not the molex mod. For you 2015 trucks I have to buy a #4 screw.

Well just found out last night that the screw I used in the dome light is a little to long. If I push up on the light it grounds to the truck and the lights come on.

Jist did this mod n i love it just that i was a little to lazy to get the pin thing so i just used a male connector n bent the tab up. Ill fix it later when i come across one. The only thing now is that i should of gotten the dome n map light at the same time cause both are a little different in color but idc cause its real close in color n i can see now when i get in my truck. Lol

I found an old wiring harness that had a small enough molex on it and used that. Pic below.

I used a ring terminal on the Dome Light side with a #6 self tapping bolt then cut to length. There is no way, on a 2013 Double Cab, that a #10 Machine Screw will fit through the hole on the silver side of the dome light.

I ran a 16 gauge wire to the map lights, stripped, and tinned the end before inserting the wire into the factory connector. Inserted the wire into the factory connector and secured the new wire to the factory harness. Plugged the connector in, switched the LED Map Light bulbs around for polarity, re-installed the fuse, and opened the door. Map Lights and Dome Light on at the same time. What a bright cab now.

I tried to do this Last night in my 12 TRDOR DCSB and i lost my map lights after switching the wires. I have LED bulbs and know to flip the bulb since the polarity changes. Any idea why mine wouldn't work?

Blowing fuses for some reason in a 2014. I will have to figure it out when I have some sunlight with a multimeter.

I used a common computer screw (normally used to hold the case on) and a 1/4" driver to get it in there. I then used a small ring terminal crimped to the wire. Not much trouble getting the connector apart and switched. I used a small flat heat and a pair of tweezers... you just have to know where to pry and not use too much force.

Edit: Had to take another look before bed... no clue. I've blown 3 fuses so far lol. I pulled the map bulbs... the dome was in the off position. I'm out of spare fuses for now but will pull the dome bulb tomorrow and see what's going on.

I noticed my dome fuse was 10amp already I think somehow I blew it putting in the map/dome leds before so maybe it has to do with my dome led.

Another edit: Maybe the screw is hitting the dome light heat sink that's on the back and shorting it out. Dome light tests fine on a spare 9v I have here... polarity doesn't seem to matter on it either.

As expected. This happened to me before and I had forgot. I insulated the heatsink with a double layer of electrical tape. I also bent the holders back a little bit so there is very little chance of a short happening now even without the tape. Doh! Great mod!

Did this today with no issues. Figured I'd share my experience...as others have. A couple of these pix are a little blurry. Sorry about that.

First I pulled the dome light fuse from the engine compartment fuse box.

I was fortunate to have some wiring in my stash that had the proper terminal to snap into the map light connector. So no bent terminal for me. Swapped the 2 existing wires at this point as well. I also zip-tied the new wire to the existing harness.

    20161010_174524_zpshu4uwj9d_51f5a586c4bc83629568788179024e3da79be95b.jpg

Ran the new wire to the dome light and added a crimp ring terminal to the end with heat shrink.

Used a very small self-tapping screw to secure the new wire to the back of the dome light. No nut and bolt needed.

    End result.
