I have a 2007 Tacoma and ordered a cold air intake for better gas mileage. The screw holes for the MAP sensor are to far apart. The question I had was can the MAP sensor be mounted anywhere within the engine compartment? Or does it have to go to mounted on the air intake?

You can mount that anywhere. The important parts are the tube connection and the electrical connection.

And just so you know you will get zero gains in HP, MPG's, or Performance. But what you will get is noise and that's it.

That's the weirdest map sensor I've ever seen.

What would you suggest for better gas mileage?

Keep the RPM's under 2,000. Not much else you can do but get a Prius, it's a truck.

Seriously not trying to offend anyone but if you want great gas mileage don't buy a truck.
