mapecu3 feeler/possible group buy AF

So I noticed that the afr module on urd's website was for the mapecu2 but via email gadget said that it is compatable with the ecu3 as well. ill be adding one for me, will anyone need one for closed loop tuning for larger injectors?, I think they are $119, ill get a link in here in a few

I will want the AFR module as well.

 

I wasnt planning on running larger injectors.. at least not yet anyways. Wanted to just get it tuned for now, maybe slap a 2.7" pulley on it if its still rich.

 

This question was posted on the sc thread and am curious if you guys know the answer.

I wonder if the MAP ECU 3 can be tuned to trigger open loop dependent on boost. Or if you can make it add fuel in closed loop dependent on boost.

Good. Glad I came across this post. I've been checking out the Mapecu3 since URD added them to their product line. I'll be picking this up for my '97 4Runner 3RZ turbo build.

I've actually had the UCON EMS in my '06 Tacoma 1GR for about 3 yrs or so. Installed it back when my truck was NA with CAI, Tundra TB, JBA long tubes, Y pipe, Flowmaster (swapped it out for a Dynomax VT which I like a lot better), and noticed a hell of a difference! Even though the UCON is pricey, it is worth every penny and then some IMHO!

I am looking forward to getting the Mapecu3 so I can get some hands on with tuning!

Are you guys already running a wide band o2?

 

at the risk of sounding kinda ignorant, are the upstream stock o2 sensors not wideband?

 

I'm honestly not sure. I've never read anything definitive.

Also, I may have to back out of the buy. I came home to a tree fallen on my truck.

The lady that I spoke with when I called to start the claim said I should hear from someone tomorrow. Friday is my off Friday, so hopefully they can get someone out to appraise the damage then.
