I still think they sent the wrong seat covers. They must be for the base model seat

I sent the pics. They claim they are installed wrong, and the seam on the cover should line up with the seam on the seat. She also suggested turning the seat cover wrong side out, lining up the seams, and rolling it down to get a better alignment and fit. I suggested that they rewrite their instructions if those are their suggestions for installations.

When I talked to her, she confirmed my order the way I placed it. I told her that, even though it doesn't ask for the submodel on the website, I specified that it was a sport model when they originally called me to confirm the order. She said it shouldn't make a difference.

I have to admit, I am skeptical. They tell me the material is so tough, they won't fit until they've stretched out some. My question is, if they're THAT tough, why would they expect them to stretch that much?

Stay tuned. I have a feeling this may be a long story.

Was considering these but am looking at CoverKings and CalTrend now. Don't want neoprene but they sure look and fit good.

I bought some Marathon Seat Covers 6 months ago. I will say that installing them was a HUGE pain, because they are such a perfect fit. Took me about 3 hours to install all(front and back). Once installed these things are AWESOME. Definetly cannot rush the install process. They have to be perfectly set on the seats or they will look like crap. Hope it works out for you, I love mine :)

...^^^... Using COSTCO seat covers until I get something else.

COSTCO seat covers are actually not too bad and they save seat edges too ... when you slide in and out of the vehicle's seat.

They might not fit like wet okele, but for 200$ for full set front and back I can live with a few creases on the corners.

Ive spilled a half full travel cup of coffee in my lap. and it just pooled up under my ass.

No stain in seats, just my jeans and underwear. They seem decently water proof

My hope is that they're just installed wrong. I'm going to continue to ride around on the driver's side one until I get time to re-install it, and hope it all lines up OK. I like the idea of the Marathons, I just want them to fit a little better. I've seen plenty of pics of them looking good on Tacomas, I just can't figure out if THESE are going to look good on MY Tacoma. I also wonder if the solid color shows defects a lot easier than if I had gone with camo or had a black insert put in them or something.

I'm not sure how the top half is secured at the junction of the seat bottom and back, but when I initially had CalTrend Neosupremes that fit a little loose, I pulled as much material as I could from the front of the seat up under the seat back so it was super snug on the front side and conformed better to the seat geometry.

My experience with plain cloth style seat covers has always just been "decent". I had some nice exact fit ones in a 4Runner once and over time they tend to shift and the seams around the side bolsters get all out of whack and it starts to look like crap and you have to readjust them. From the seat covers I've been through, so far Wet Okole has stayed 100% in place. Even the "feau neoprene" ones from CalTrend that were made for a 2nd gen Tacoma fit/conform to my 4Runner better than the custom cloth 4Runner ones ever did. I have some Coverking cordura covers on my rear seats in my truck and those fit pretty good too.

That's not normal. Hopefully they said that before seeing the pics. Curious to see the outcome here.

I've had mine for just over 5 years now and I can say the initial installation also took me close to 2 hours...lots of tugging and adjusting to get them in the exact position for proper fitment. I've since removed them twice for washing and each time re-install time was the same.

UPDATE - I've ridden around on the driver's side cover this week, and it is forming to the seat better. I hope to have time to readjust it on Monday, and assuming it looks OK, install the rest of the covers.

Additional update: I installed all of the covers, and I must admit, they have settled in and conformed to the seats better. My GF and I took a kayaking trip this weekend and it was so nice not having to worry about taking a change of clothes, towels, and all that to get clean/dry enough to sit on the factory seats. I think they're overpriced, honestly, but they are waterproof and feel tough as nails, which is important to me. I think it's easier at this point to keep them than it is to take them off, send them back, possibly fight with the company, do more research on other brands, order them, and wait to have them made/shipped, then install them. Not sure at this point that I would recommend them, based on the fit, but I may change my mind there too after I readjust them.

I tried reinstalling the driver's side when I first put it on. Otherwise, they were only put on once. I want to give them a little more time to be sat on before I readjust them, but I will post pics after I do.

I have cover seat (seat saver) I think that's what they are called. They fit tight will say this when you first put them on sit in them helps form them to seat.
