What kind of lights did you use for your engine compartment? You have great output from those...

I just bought some strip LEDs and going to hook them up in near future

I got those from Oznium. 12V Marine LED floods. They are waterproof and are sometimes used for swimming pool lighting. The lights are automatically switched on when I lift the hood. I installed a relay and a reed (magnetic) switch along the side near the battery and a rare earth magnet attached to the hood. Makes it much easier to see in the night.....should you have the need to.

The floods come in different colors.

I will try to get you some pics tonight. I ran the wire under the door weather strip, along the fender/body seam, under the "lip" along the left side of the engine compartment and attached the probe on the inside of the grille with 3M HB double sided tape. I was surprised at how well it works.

Some pics of thermometer sensor wiring run:

[IMG] Route temp sensor wire under weather strip and out gap between near hinges and between fender and hood.
[IMG] From under door weather strip up past door hinges.

[IMG] Temp sensor wire between fender and hood.

After that, run it down the wire run inside the left front fender in the engine compartment, past the battery, under back of headlight, and attach to inside of grille using VHB (Very High Bond) 3M tape.
    Done!

I know the cross-member color of the stock grille on the 10 doesn't match the MGM....but painted and emblem with the fusion gray textured paint and applied a couple of coats of topcoat.

Here are the pics...but it was starting to get dark and they may be hard to see...and I am still experimenting with the camera.

Please comment. (I received another grille today from an 07, which has flat black cross-members. I am going to clean it up and apply some fresh flat black to see how it looks)

    Thanks for looking....

Got bored and tried this. The cup holder is hold up very well after 3 weeks..and pretty hefty changes in temperature.

I like the LED's under the hood. I may have to do that one.
