When you found it did not work why not return it ?? $10.00 hardly worth it

I wonder why it would not fit wrong threads

I have ordered enough wrong parts to fill a barn it happens.

This is the only "upgrade" drain plug for the front diff clamshell I know of: http://goldplug.com/shop/ap24/ It's stainless steel and has a really strong magnet. I bought one but ended up not using it, as it requires a large socket (larger than the one for the axle nut).

Not worth returning. I got it shipped in with more expensive parts.

I just used it for the fill plug instead as it fits there. I assumed they were the same size, but the shank of the drain bolt is thicker.

I will probably just get a Toyota OEM bolt locally (they're about $18 CAD) the next time i do a fluid exchange...which will probably be in 2 years.
