Nah, 3 link + panhard is probably the easiest option. I looked into doing it for LT stuff and it's the easiest way to avoid moving the gas tank.

In for travel numbers and how much up travel? How much bumpsteer on your design? Since it’s rock crawling, but we all know it will also see some high speed runs on some trucks, what’s the camber numbers at full droop, ride height, and full bump? Will you offer a version with heim’ed UCA?

    Thanks

    A thing or two...
One of the LT builders already has a 3-link setup for the Tacoma. I can't think of their username at the moment, but it's been mentioned in the LT BS thread before.

@BigMike Dude I've seen your truck on the 41 through Fresno. That thing looks like a fuckin monster and the ground clearance is insane. I'll be looking out for this kit in the future, I was considering TC LT, but this looks fuckin sweet. Can I jump my truck with your LT kit because if so, this is exactly what I've been looking for

I just got TC for my 2nd gen partially because of the wait, but I’m definitely holding out on this once the 1st gen setup drops

Thanks man! What do you drive? I'll keep my eyes out for ya :D *waves*

Yes, as long as you have bumpstops you can launch it. In fact, with V2 Prototype, I have increased vertical impact strength by switching from 5 x 3/16" thick vertical plates + 1 x 1/4" thick, to now 4 x 3/16" and 2 x 1/4" plates. Still 6 vertically positioned plates (2 sides and 4 inner gussets), but now both sides of the main shock mount are 1/4" thick.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Sorry it has been a long year for me. Progress on the final prototype (Version 3.0 / V3) was going very well in May and then early June I broke two ribs, 1 on each side, which has just been extremely frustrating to say the least. I resumed working on the final prototype a week ago and will begin laser cutting this week. I am highly confident that this will be the final prototype. We have begun initial stages of mass manufacturing needed components so that by the time we get V3 finished the plan is to be ready to start taking orders.

To that end, this weekend I worked on getting RCLT HD up on our website which I'm finally happy to announce!!

We are now collecting demand for the Heavy Duty RCLT kit!

The journey has not been easy, which is how anything worth doing should be. As mentioned, in the ideal world RCLT would not have been announced until it was ready for sale, but an unavoidable circumstance required it's announcement ahead of time. Here is a summary so far...

    • 2018 Winter - MarRack is born and First Prototype (V1) installed into my Tacoma. A month later I learn that my custom co-developed +2.00" LT suspension that had been on my truck since the previous summer would not be continued nor produced.

    • 2018 Spring - We are approached by a King Of The Hammers team for our MarRack technology

    • 2018 Summer - With no Toyota-based IFS strong enough for KOH available, I decide to make my own. RCLT HD is born.

    • 2018 Fall - I had to step away from RCLT to work on our 17th annual Marlin Crawler Round-Up event, which I was lead organizer and trail leader for.

    • 2018 October through 2019 January - First Prototype (V1) RCLT HD is designed and built, including the Second Prototype (V2) MarRack installed under a 4.7-liter V8 (this was an absolute PITA to design).

    • 2019 February - RCLT is announced to the world and competes as the first Toyota IFS ever in the King Of The Hammers competition, doing so with only two days of testing. The vehicle DNF after colliding with a large rock, but this was a tremendous achievement and an absolutely necessary experience for me.

    • 2019 April - RCLT HD Second Prototype (V2) is finished and installed under my Tacoma along with V2 MarRack. There was literally over 100 improvements.

    • 2019 May - New V3 RCLT HD design is 95% finished. Highly confident in this being the final prototype.

    • 2019 June - I decide breaking my ribs would be fun in a highly stupid accident involving an attic (embarrassing details).

...which brings us to the present. I've been back at work for a few weeks but have been busy catching up and also expanding applications for our HD LCA Frame Brace and Cam Gusset Kit (info). Obviously I can't do much else as it still hurts to get in and out of my Tacoma, so all my plans for summer wheeling & new YouTube videos have gone out the window. Speaking of which, normally each off-season (winter) is my only chance to continue building my new truck but RCLT has taken away time and truth be told I haven't gone wheeling since the Round-Up back in September, now almost 11 months ago... making this by far the longest I've gone without wheeling since getting my drivers license.

I'm dying to get back out and do some wheeling and looking forward to getting RCLT HD finally into production!

    Regards,
    BigMike
