I've been waiting for this ever since I first heard about it following the slowest Tacoma build.

Will definitely be interested to hear about pricing when it's released!

I am going 37s on stock width and 95% of my wheeling is rock crawling.

I already have spindle gussets. I have stock length RCVs on order as well. I already did the cab mount relocate etc.

I love the design of your entire kit, but TBH, it will be some time before I can afford it. I know you haven’t posted a price yet, but fabbed spindles and UCA & LCAs is obviously going to be very expensive.

Add to that the premium you will be able to charge, being that it’ll be the only kit like this on the market, AND it’s being sold by a very reputable shop.

I just did an ECGS built Dana 60 in the rear of my truck, 37s, weld on beadlocks, etc. As you know, that was expensive...

I still have money set aside to upgrade the steering. I’ve just been waiting on your MarRack to be released. If it WILL work with stock width, I’ll keep waiting.

I think you would sell a lot of MarRacks to guys who can’t afford, or just don’t want to spend the coin, on your entire setup.

The only other option out there, that I know of, is a modded Tundra rack. I JUST learned the other day, that even those, still use Tacoma Tie rods. I obviously do not want to go that route.

My truck was heading, most likely, to an eventual SAS. I could see myself, at some point, going with your full HD kit now though. It really is quite impressive.

And, my truck has never been to a mall.

Not only that, but for those that have already bought a kit, or modified everything to work with what they have, but just need a rack.....Down the road this kit would be a definite upgrade, but some may just be interested in rack. Especially, if it is a simple bolt in application that has been stated.

How does moving the spindle forward effect steering and suspension geometry? Especially moving it forward while reusing the factory spindle with no change to the tie rod connection. Wouldn't that have a negative effect on bump steer etc.?

Just want to go on the record. I want and need and will fit all my needs will be the RCLT Standard Kit! But knowing how i cant control myself i will most likely end up with the Complete Monster RCLT HD kit ! Will be looking forward to seeing each kit packaged up and detailed install instructions!Awesome work Mike you just changed my off roading world and many others, i bet competitors will be scrambling to catch up to your designs!

I am interested as well, but only in the standard kit so that I can clear 33's with no issue and go +2 LT. I would likely have to give up the motorcycle dreams and sell my KTM 690 in order to allocate the money needed to do this. That would be combined with doing all of my own mechanical and modification work (added gussets or any other work I would do) to save some cash.
It looks like I need to decide if mid-travel will suffice or if I should just sit tight and start up another savings account for this.

@BigMike any further comment on why the standard kit is better suited for desert running than the HD kit? I spend as much, if not more, time in Baja as I do in the eastern Sierras or Moab.

Awesome replies to everyone, thank you. I'm looking forward to more pictures and hopefully also video from the 4Runner Team during testing leading up to Wednesday's race.

Let me say first and foremost there are better kits for Baja than either RCLT which are optimized for Rock Crawling. Also, I don't do Baja myself but as a Mechanical Engineer I do have an appreciation and amazement for technologies used therein.
Next, I am not sure why I wrote, "especially if you're considering the RCLT Standard Kit which reuses the factory knuckle" because this does have a couple advantages (lower weight, possibly better up-travel prior to cutting sheet metal) but I shouldn't have said "especially" so I edited my above post.

Probably the question is best answered as follows:

Why the Standard Kit is better for Baja than the HD:
    • Less unsprung weight (mainly) due to factory knuckles being lighter than our HD knuckles
    • The factory knuckle's top vertical ball joint allows for a more compact UCA (narrow single shear vs wide double shear ball joint mount) so you'll likely to have a bit more maximum up travel prior to modifying sheet metal
    • Depending on tire size and wheel offset, would likely not require larger fenders

Why the HD Kit is better for Baja than the Standard:
    • The track width is 37.5% larger (2.75" vs 2") for better suspension travel and cornering/off-camber stability
    • Horizontal ball joints do not encounter misalignment issues so theoretically they allow more travel. If 2WD then substantially more travel
    • Double-shear ball joints and steering TRE connection are way stronger and can handle far higher loads (both hitting whoops and landing jumps)
    • MarRack is required and provides incredible steering strength, however it could be added to the Standard kit too

These are what comes to mind first. Hope this helps!

BIG THANK YOU for the reply Squeaky Penguin because you reminded me of my analysis last spring of our new & highly beneficial larger (positive) Ackermann angles which are better for Rock Crawling!!! Okkkkk I need to get some info added to one of my opening posts and in a great way :D :D

Until then, let me answer your question from a driver experience: While on 37s, I racked up about 4,000 miles with +1 RC and factory steering by daily and highway driving for the Rubicon three times, Bald Mtn once, Black Bear/Poughkeepsie/Imogene Passes (Colorado), and two trips to southern California to the Pomona OR Expo and King Of The Hammers. Alignment was set to factory specs and the steering feel was 100% like factory. The rate change of tire angle caused by the larger Ackermann angle is only accentuated when you approach full steering lock. So accelerated tire wear is not an issue (unless you use your truck as a city street sweeper or something).

Ok, now I need to find some time to get my old info added!
