You might want to pay closer attention to guys with SAS trucks, they still break things, they just dont break the same things as IFS

Right i know things still break and that nothing lasts forever. I just don't want to spend 14k on ifs and have my diff break all the time especially if I add more power. I would like to only do things once and only worry about upkeep. Minimizing breakage is my main priority out in the middle of nowhere. With that said I'm still game to go this route but the reality is that my front diff is not a dana 60.

Bring an extra cv and hub and you should be able to manage a break easily on the trail.

you would think someone from Marlin would at least poke their head into this thread every now and then. Not even sure the last time they did

Apples to oranges, and a bit disrespectful. While Marlin/Big Mike seems to have slowed down to a glacial pace on this (and the taco box), you can't deny the history they have in this industry and the number of people they have helped out on the trail.

The Pelfry folks, where are they and what have they done for this industry?

Not much of an excuse for their constant delays, lack of communication except to BS us. Tacobox and RCLT were on my list, no way would they get a deposit from me now.

No doubt. I gave up my place in line on the taco box. But that's still not the same as intentionally screwing others over and/or leaving people high and dry.

Here's to hoping something changes for the Marlin crew.

My thoughts exactly, Marlin didn't take everyone's money, file bankruptcy and then blame it on the people they screwed. No one's as bad as Pilfer-y

If I had to guess, I'd say Covid has hit Marlin hard, either they were effected directly or their supply chain. I agree transparency is needed however. Radio silence just leaves the masses to speculate.

marlin almost never has shit in stock. its been like that since around 2012 when i was looking at crawl boxes. its why i went with inchworm since i basically only had to wait on shipping.

You don't have to worry because there's no way you can even put a deposit on either of them now. I've been checking on the Tacoboxes for at least 8 months now and hear the same story, "We're not taking orders on them until we get the orders we have filled. Check back in 3 or 4 months."

Having an older truck and MC doing a lot of first gen specific mods, this has just been their company profile. They have many things die in the prototype phase, random orders not be fulfilled etc. and compounding that, the slow down with COVID isn't helping things.
