it is amazing how some companies dont want your money when you want to back the money truck up to their shop and give it all to them.

when i was trying to get my Crawl box, i was trying to go through RST but wyatt went dark so i went with inchworm and when he did get back to me i already had bought and his excuse was mom was sick and he was out of town. this was for like 3 weeks. this was all back in 2012. i got my box from inchworm in a week so i was cool with it.

Too bad inchworm is no more apparently just like the crawl boxes from MC. Apparently they aren't doing them anymore either not sure if that's true but wouldn't doubt it.

I have the verso case from TG which is supposedly based of the old inchworm dual gear case set up. But they are now obsolete too. But you can still buy parts for them. All those companies are owned by one big giant parent company which is why TG got it and LR ditched it. There are a lot of shared parts like that between them.

I had heard a rumor headstrong gave in too. What a bummer. They had great customer service. Surely that’s gone.

Idk, though they’ve all been acquired I have placed an order with all poo and Headstrong within the last few months and both experiences were fine. All pro responded within a few hours to an email I sent regarding an order and had it out the door that afternoon. Probably more streamlined service as far as getting orders fulfilled, and less consulting with the customer to make recommendations on products like Headstrong was known for.

They do seem to nix the unique products each used to offer over time in some cases.

I know Jon at AP was ready to retire when he sold to TG. He’s a diehard mini truck rock crawler and kinda lost his passion for the business when everything went overland-y. Happy for him to be able to retire in comfort after 20 years of All Pro. Jim at Inchworm was ready to retire when he sold as well.

There was also the bad taste in the community’s mouth from his poorly executed move to Montana and then back to CA, as well as the large amounts of customer service issues.

I didn’t know about that much. Sad the old school good American Valued Small Businesses are getting bought out.

I have a few all pro products on my truck I’m not too happy with.

Thanks for the info. It’s good to know the whole story.

I can tell you most those influencer guys are reached out to by a company - then they offer something, and the person (youtuber) is like “Eh sure, why not?” You’d do the same thing if that was the position you were in and take up the offer.

Now is that right to do? Eh..

No doubt, he wasn’t passionate about the business and it suffered towards the end. I bought some leafs from AP in late 2016 and it took way longer than it should have.

    No problem.

I’d rather some of the legacy companies at least have something financially to show for their efforts at the end of their owner’s careers rather than just close the doors. Same deal with Longfield after Bobby passed away. It was a bummer to see TG acquire the name, move manufacturing away from RCV and require more paperwork for a warranty than Bobby ever did. But on the other hand, I was happy for his wife Tina to be able to financially ride off into the sunset rather than just have nothing after Bobby died.

Yea he came on here or the RST thread to talk about how cool his sponsors were and how RST wasn’t that bad. Shameless plug much. It was pretty funny.
