@BigMike I do have another question. I was looking under my truck yesterday and noticed my passenger front cam tab was bent. Can I simply bend it back and slip this brace over it? I assume I could, but don'y know if the tolerances would be too tight if they weren't perfectly straight.

There're like 18 of us that want these in the groups I'm in. The sad thing is half of us just burned in the TC ones.

Would there be any hope for 1st gen tacomas and 3rd gen 4runners?

If you read the website you can use them with the TC ones you just have to grind 1/8" off of them. These plus the TC ones would make that area extremely strong and almost unbreakable

It's not about not being able to install them.

The point is they were installed last month for some of the guys. so they wasted 90 bucks + tax and shipping when they could've gotten this for about ~10 bucks more.

I wouldn't say they wasted the 90 bucks. I plan on doing both just to be a little overkill.

Why? You could just run a bead behind the existing tabs to link them to the gussets.

Because they will just make it that much more stronger. Same reason I've boxed my frame and added in more bracing.

ok well, whatever makes you happy is gucci.

adding tc cam tab gussets, shaving them off, and then welding on marlin's frame brace kit just isn't exactly high on my list of priorities.

Interesting product. I like the idea of gusseting the mounting tab itself.

You don't shave the TC gussets off you just take a little off the MC braces. Cam tabs still get bent even with a weld behind them. East coast wheeling is a lot different things get bent broken and bounced around a lot harder.

Fully compasses the camber bolts too.

I just like the idea of not having to remove the old cam tabs. That job alone takes over an hour.

Agreed. I'm a little skeptical being the OE cam tabs are sheet metal flimsy but this kit seems to offer enough support for it to not be an issue. I would still remove the LCA to burn these on though. No point in doing it half ass.
