Are there any concerns about welding these with the LCAs still on the truck, and smelting the bushings?

Burning in 1/4" plate so close to the bushings has me concerned about doing it with the LCA still installed, it's going to get VERY hot in that area for sure...I'll wait and see what other people report back with, once everyone starts getting them put in.

I have new, replacement LCAs and Cam bolts (mine are seized and might as well be replaced now) that I will likely install when I do this to avoid the bushing concerns. Other items I plan to install are gusseted spindles and the ECGS bushing while everything is apart.

They probably shared the same concern and removed them in case. Timelapsed video would have been nice for confirmation regardless.

    I just ordered a set.

I think one of my LCA mounts is slightly bent - even though I have a good alignment. I may have to "adjust" it to make these fit.

I look forward to the additional strength.

Since you have all the replacements, wanna take one for the team and see if it can be done safely? Then swap out the LCA arms / bolts?

Personally I wouldn't do it. Not hard to mark the cam locations remove the LCAs and burn them in.

That's the plan, I believe. Will probably install my UCA's at the same time. Knock it all out at once, then get it aligned.

    Good afternoon TW!

Had an interesting Sunday morning while working on my house and bruised a couple ribs or my lat. muscle on the right side of my back. I've been home resting and can now move around and sit upright at my laptop. Wanted to get in here to post a quick update--

My guys informed me that we shipped 30 kits yesterday and another 30 to 35 kits are going out today. Tomorrow I'll post up a short/demo video of how each plate installs onto each LCA mount (was planning to do this first thing yesterday, but, ...yeah) as well as finish the installation guide (it's mostly done).

This has been pretty exciting here as this is our first late model specific IFS product, and we've got a lot more in the works!

More info coming tomorrow, specifically tasty info for 2nd gen owners who already have TC cam tabs installed

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
I’d love to see an option with just the bottom plates
I just solid mounted my lower arms so I just need/want the gussets

Forgot to quickly add info about on-vehicle installation. This will be covered in the installation guide, but if you only lay one bead at a time per LCA mount, then you can limit the amount of heat per surface area. Also, having a mist bottle of water can help to keep the bushing area cool. We plan to do a video review of an on-vehicle installation, however this isn't scheduled until July.

I do see two tricky parts and that is (1) how do you spray paint everything once done without getting paint on your camber hardware (if this matters to you), and (2) you might not be able to get spray paint in at all angles.

If you don't mind painting straight over your cam bolts then this doesn't apply, but one method to do this that we've included in the instructions (other then going nerdy with painters tape) is to brush grease over the face of the cam eccentric and bolt heads/nuts prior to painting, and then after the paint has dried just take a rag to wipe the grease off revealing your original silver hardware.

We've included additional painting tips such as the removal of your driver side front differential support bracket in order to get paint on the lower frame brace plate. You could leave it on and paint the crap out of everything, but could be hard to tape certain parts off to get spray paint around objects.

Other than these paint issues, the goal is for the installation process to be very straight forward :)

    Regards,
    BigMike
