Is the Marlin Kit enough, or is it worthwhile to combine with TC cam tab kit for double meat? Lets say i already want the Marlin Kit so while i am at it should i add in the TC gussets is the question.

    Forget the $$$ part.

My cam tabs are in rough shape so i gotta do something soon.

One or the other is fine. Both would be bomb-proof. You’d break other shit before going out of alignment lol

    anyone done both?

Seems kind of tricky to go Marlin if the tabs are already bent out of shape
    TC replaces the bent tabs
but does not reinforce the whole assembly

I ended up doing Marlin brace only as i would have had to do significant grinding to the Marlin braces to fit around the TC tabs. By time you weld the inside of the Marlin braces they are right up against the factory tabs. I still have the TC tabs which i will use on my fj i guess. I had one smashed over factory tab and my guy was able to bend it back up and make it all really solid.

Had I already had the TC gussets installed i would have made it work but since i didnt have to i didnt. Marlin says it should be minimal, but i bought the Marlin braces from a TW member so maybe they were early gen 1 or something as it looked like quite a bit needed to come out to fit them around the TCs.
