So my engine mounts on my 3rd gen broke at 32k miles, and dealer wouldn’t warranty it due to evidence of off roading and abuse. The OEM engine mounts were on back order so I went to auto zone and picked up some shitty duralast mounts, installed them (which was the most insanely frustrating job I’ve ever done on this truck) and the driver side mount literally broke in one day. So now I’m deciding whether I should wait for oem mounts to not be on back order, or go with some Mar Tec poly mounts. Considering the oem ones broke so early, I’m thinking getting the more durable poly mounts would be a good idea, but I’m just concerned with uncomfortable vibrations and possible frame damage due to more robust mounts. Is anyone here running MarTec poly mounts and have any problems? TIA

I would caution you about using poly engine mounts. They cause a lot more engine vibrations to be felt throughout the vehicle.

    Cheers
