What light are you running? It seems to fit well. I'm looking at getting a very similar setup.

It’s Cali-raised, but I added a HDPE spacer with the Cali mounts.

So it seems like the Martin rack is close to Prinsu.

It sounds like it is much higher quality than the Hooke Road offering on Amazon/Ebay.

Why wouldn't I purchase the Martin rack?

Can anyone post pics of how the 40" lightbar attaches?

Yeah, it is almost just like a Prinsu, a little lower profile........ Light bar mounted with CaliRaised brackets that came with light. I added an HDPE spacer, about 1/8” so the light was not resting on the wind deflector.

What light bar are people using other than CaliRaised? After my experience with their CB tailgate bracket, I don't really want to give them any more of my money.

Diode Dynamics is a solid choice and I'm hoping to pick up a 40in during their black Friday sale.

    Those are pricey!

I know there are more expensive options though. Also, it says that it is 42" and I've seen a lot in that length. Does it have to be 40" exact, or does 40" cutout mean up to 42" (as an example), or are you just blocking the outer 2 inches?

I've heard good things about the Rough Country, so was thinking about maybe trying one out if it goes on sale. https://www.roughcountry.com/40-inch-curved-led-light-bar-70740bl.html

Is the install of this rack pretty much the same as the Prinsu videos I've watched? Also, would Prinsu hardware (such as their Tie Down hardware) work in this rack?

The tie down hardware requires a bit of modification to make it work as the T slots on the Martin are just a bit smaller.

sorry if i misspoke, i have random crossbars off both racks, and some i brought from tnutz.com on two trucks, so things might get a bit muddled.

Can a Yakima box be mounted on the Martin rack? I'm just worried there isn't enough space between the bottom of the cross bar and the top of the cab, as the box has handles going under the bar......Thanks

Am I correct in assuming that some cutting of the factory drip rail rubber is in order to install?

Or use a hole punch for a cleaner look. That's what I did.
