I forgot to ask, when you mentioned the "OEM Frame Treatment", does Toyota offer a treatment/solution for this?

 

I refer to the ongoing Rust Campaign or whatever they are calling it now at Toyota. Basically on 2016s+ they were adding more plugs to the frame and then spraying some white anti-corrosion goop into the frame channels and also tried to spray between the C channel layers.

Anyway, I have not kept up for which years it is currently applied to as far as 3rd gens go. They had been doing all this on a rolling basis. And I wasn’t sure if maybe they just started coming from the factory or port this way on 2021+. Something to look into. Can probably find a big thread on it in the 3rd gen section.

But Toyota is typically sends you a a letter about it too.

 

I see, thanks. Good to know they're trying to treat it better at the factory. I have heard about Toyota working with owners to remediate rust on this forum and it seems they're responsive. I just wasn't sure if they recommended some kind of application post sale. I'll definitely dig deeper on the 3rd Gen section.
