Does that temp Alison job carry a much higher pay and benefit package, to burn that bridge with your current employment?

I would be taking a pay cut if i leave my job. But my current job has no health insurance, retirement benefits, holiday pay or sick pay. I do get 2 weeks vacation but that's it. I'm 42 now, and not getting no younger.

Most small companies are like that, no benefits. In the long run, it would be best to go with a large company that has benefits. Health insurance is not getting any cheaper. and retirement even with Social Security is rarely possible without pension or good 401K plans.

Just hope the temp job turns into a permanent position. Not sure you can collect unemployment on a temp job.

This is why i wanted to help Chip with his lift install sooner than later, i pm'ed him about this situation about 2 weeks ago or so to let him know but with his busy weekends working we couldn't meet up. I'm a man of my word so i will feel bad if i can't help him because of this job situation.

I wouldn't worry about his lift he'll get it on one way or another we could always do a mod day at someone house and help him install it
