awesome. How far are you on the skids now?

After wheels and tires, I'll need IFS/mid skid. transfer case can come after I have the exhaust completely redone in a couple years. I already have a gas tank skid.

If the lifespan of the gen1 is any indication, there will be no shortage of gen2's for the next 15 years.

I might know a guy that can get some free grinders to MD tacomaworld members if they want to grind their own welds...

    You're telling me. Lol.

When i'm ready to do it, it'll be full custom.

Shorty headers, new cats/custom Y-pipe routed behind the transfer case, and 2.5" stainless cat back with magnaflow muffler and a custom exit that i haven't figured out where to put yet. I'll likely do this after one of my cats rust out

Difference in 14" 700lb King coil (blue) and 13" 650lb Icon coil that comes standard on the Icon coilover and Ext travel c/o.

    image.jpg

    Getting the coil seated

    image.jpg

Slid the shock in. Wound up using less preload on the adjustment nut. No idea where it needs to be once it's installed.

    image.jpg

Squeeze is on! Popped in the lower spring perch. It has a cutout to slide it on the shaft and is recessed on the bottom to seat atop the lower strut mount.

    image.jpg

I just have to put the upper strut mount back on and they'll be ready to install. I removed it for shipping back to Icon service to save weight, and left it off to make it easier to use on the compressor. When I took the old springs off, it was in contact with the top of the compressor. @Bawlmore

Yeah I'm glad they'll match my wet okoles and interior paint. I got bored one day and sprayed everything a ridiculous blue, then said screw it and got blue and black seat covers. Used the same paint on my Toyota emblem when it was still on. I figure one day in a few years i'll line-x the whole truck the same color.

All my accents are just a little bluer than speedway. Looks silly with a silver truck and everything else sprayed black. I'd go with either silver or black if you was me. I think another blue shade would clash.

Got any concept or prototype images for these HC rear bumpers I keep hearing about?

Not yet. Trying to get standard bumpers for 2nd and 3rd gen done first since they'll be a more popular seller. Once they're 100% we'll make the HC bumpers.

Agreed. I got that deal in florida. Sucks now though because closest Firestone is Waldorf, about 50 minutes away.
