Pulling the Hella Supertones out of the truck to use in the Fiero, and going to give the new Hella Sharptones a shot in the Tacoma.

Can you post up a comparison video? I'm happy with the stock Tacoma horn. I was pleasantly surprised it didn't sound like a high pitched Corolla horn lol. Always looking for an upgrade though.

recorded with a much better camera mic. than what I'd be using. the supertones are fantastic, and extremely loud (and directional). the sharptones are just a lower pitch version.

it's a dual tone setup, so each of the horns puts out a different sound than most. that's what creates the ringing or raspy sound. you buy these for how loud they are, not the tone. they are very directional, and louder than any electric horn I've ever heard. stand beside the car and the noise levels are similar to a stock horn. stand in front of the car, and you'll wet your pants.

    Hey MD folks,

I'm looking to buy a Tacoma this fall, after my VW diesel buyback gets done. I've been talking about getting back into a truck for years, and looks like this is the time. We have bought a few suvs/vans from Jerry's Toyota, which has been an okay experience, but I wanted to ask what other dealers you all may recommend. I'm in Balt City, but I'm willing to go where I need to for a good buy.

I had a good experience with Russell Toyota. They negotiated no problem at all. I paid less than sticker for my 16 and that's after taxes and all fees were charged.

granted it was almost 10 years ago, but after going to every Toyota dealership in the northern Virginia area, I ended up buying from Miller Toyota, in Manassas, VA.

they didn't try to sell the gimmicy stuff like service plans, and after I got the price down to where I wanted it (which none of the other dealers could match), I tried for a little more, and they just started throwing free parts at me to make the sale. got tube steps, an extra 4-pack of bed cleats, an extra pair of bed tie-down d-rings.
